Titanium flanges and fittings: Grade 1, 2, 5, 7 and 12
Titanium resists seawater, wet chlorine and oxidising chlorides almost completely, at about 56% of the density of steel. We manufacture flanges and fittings in the common commercial and alloyed grades.
Product forms and specifications
| Product | Specification and grade |
|---|---|
| Forged flanges | ASTM B381 F-1, F-2, F-5 (Ti-6Al-4V), F-7, F-12 |
| Plate flanges and blinds | ASTM B265 Gr 1, 2, 7, 12 |
| Butt-weld fittings | ASTM B363 WPT1, WPT2, WPT7, WPT12; Grade 5 on enquiry |
| Pipe (stocked and sourced) | ASTM B861 seamless, B862 welded |
| Bolting | ASTM B348 bar; studs and nuts to F467 / F468 |
We manufacture the flanges, fittings and fabrications listed. Pipe is supplied from stock or sourced from approved mills.

For design use the values in the current edition of the specification your order calls for.
Where it is used
Grade 2 covers most seawater cooling, chlor-alkali and bleach service. Grades 7 and 12 extend resistance into hotter, more reducing chloride conditions where crevice corrosion is the risk. Grade 5 is the high-strength alloy for bolting and highly stressed parts.
Questions buyers ask
Which titanium grade should I use for seawater?
Grade 2 is the normal choice for seawater and brine at ambient and moderate temperatures. For hot brine with crevices, Grade 7 or Grade 12 is usually specified.
Do you weld titanium fittings?
Welded titanium fittings and fabrications are made with full inert-gas shielding. The weld colour is checked as part of inspection.
