Where it is used
C276 handles mixed acids, wet chlorine and hydrochloric acid service. 625 combines strength with pitting resistance for sour service and high-temperature duty. 825 and Alloy 20 are economical choices for sulphuric acid. Monel 400 resists hydrofluoric acid and flowing seawater.
Questions buyers ask
Is Alloy 20 the same as Carpenter 20?
Carpenter 20Cb-3 is a trade name for Alloy 20 to UNS N08020. Flanges are made to ASTM B462 and fittings to B366 WP20CB.
Do nickel alloy flanges need special testing?
Many specifications ask for intergranular corrosion testing (for example ASTM G28) and PMI. We arrange these when your QAP requires them.
