How large flanges are made

Large flanges are made from forged rings or from rolled-and-welded or cut plate, depending on what the standard and your specification allow. Rings are machined, faced, drilled and checked against the drawing before dispatch. Ultrasonic testing of forgings is done when your QAP calls for it.

Heavy plate work such as blast furnace nozzles is handled by Teshi Heavy Fabrications.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What is the difference between B16.47 Series A and Series B?

Series A flanges are heavier with fewer, larger bolts. Series B flanges are more compact with more, smaller bolts. They are not interchangeable, so the series must be on the order.
